Why Loom?

Loom refers to a metaphor for the human brain made famous by Charles S. Sherrington in his 1942 book, Man On His Nature.  Essentially, Sherrington described the workings of the brain as having "millions of flashing shuttles weave a dissolving pattern, always meaningful pattern though never an abiding one; a shifting harmony of subpatterns". [1]

Longevity and increasing your "health span"

The latest research from experts in the fields of longevity and increasing "healthspan", is what guides the Loom Connection's philosophy on speech and cognitive therapy treatment.  Longevity refers to an individuals life expectancy.  "Healthspan" refers to that portion of life in which the individual is in good health.  Adding these practices to innovative speech therapy results in a more well rounded approach to the client's overall health.
